As a librarian, I am passionate about life-long learning.
In 2020, I want to challenge myself to grow my understanding around coding and technology.
I have been speaking with some other emerging information professionals, and we’ve all expressed how we’d love to learn about coding. It’s something that’s always interested me, but I’ve always felt that I wasn’t quite clever enough to get my head around it.
Recently, I stumbled across Sarah Brown’s NLS9 keynotes presentation. Despite not attending NLS9, reading through the materials she curated for her presentation and speaking with librarian friends who are also keen to learn has inspired me to finally do something and spend some time working toward my goal of learning to code.
I’m not sure how it will go, but doing something is better than never trying, I suppose! I will share my journey and resources here on my website as I move toward my goal.
